We met George about two years ago upon his conditional release from prison. It took us some time to gain his trust, but we finally proved to him that we were on his side when we straightened out some confusion with his probation officer and prevented him from returning to prison.

After that, we were able to work with George to obtain stable housing, apply for benefits, and connect him with doctors and therapists. We went back to court with George and the judge was so pleased with his progress…and with our involvement…that he released George from the correctional system with the provision that he continues to work with us. Since then, George has obtained a job and has had no further run-ins with law enforcement. We’re proud of him!
